We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Security Operations Specialist to become part of our team. This role is available in various locations, and we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
The Security Operations Specialist is tasked with implementing personnel security (PERSEC) protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining daily logs for various administrative tasks, managing a comprehensive client database, and overseeing database entries related to customer-sponsored positions and quotas. This role also involves maintaining security files for all personnel within the supported unit. The Specialist will develop, manage, and analyze tracking spreadsheets and databases for customer PERSEC activities, ensuring adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Additionally, the Specialist will facilitate security awareness and training programs while providing general administrative support. This position is essential in protecting personnel and assets from potential security threats. The Specialist will conduct background checks and risk evaluations, along with other duties related to organizational personnel security, under the guidance of the Security Operations Manager.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Candidates with a Master's degree may receive 2 years of experience credit; those with a PhD may receive 4 years of experience credit.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience specific to this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Personnel Security Management (PSM) or as a Certified Protection Officer (CPO).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- The individual in this role must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move within the office to access files, office equipment, or communicate with colleagues and clients.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,900-$134,800, influenced by factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
