Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Advocate I to join our team at Erie Insurance Group. As a Customer Advocate I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders, agents, and claimants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize various platforms to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues within scope of authority.
  • Apply a working knowledge of ERIE policies and procedures to have business-appropriate conversations with customers.
  • Manage and service office account books of business in accordance with ERIE policy and procedures.
  • Apply proficient knowledge of ERIE systems and products to respond to customer concerns for all lines of business.
  • Train and mentor less experienced staff, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for department and projects, as applicable.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; or Associate degree and two years' experience in a call center, insurance operations, or equivalent required; or High School Diploma or GED and four years' experience in a call center, insurance operations, or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of billing practices and procedures preferred. License in Property and Casualty insurance and/or licenses based on changing compliance requirements required, as applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 28 words per minute preferred. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software required.
