Position Summary

The Credit Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the credit team, providing support to customers, sales representatives, and consumers through various communication channels.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and participate in all functions of the Credit Department.
  • Analyze and standardize processes to enhance the efficiency of team members.
  • Inspire, mentor, and manage the Credit Department personnel.
  • Establish work procedures, schedules, and streamline departmental workflow.
  • Oversee accounts receivable management, cash applications, and account maintenance.
  • Conduct research and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Facilitate communication between the credit team and other departments.
  • Set up credit lines and manage new account applications.
  • Collaborate with collections on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary reports.

Management Responsibilities

Directly supervises Credit Department staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and evaluating team members, as well as addressing any performance-related issues.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing a team of at least 5 employees.
  • At least 3 years of experience with ERP Accounting Software, preferably SAP ByDesign.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and software solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 applications.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret technical documents, write reports, and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills

Competence in performing calculations involving discounts, interest, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and draw logical conclusions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be required to sit, use hands, and communicate effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically quiet, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
