Summary:

The Assistant Manager (AM) plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager (GM) by guiding and mentoring store personnel to enhance the customer experience. The AM is fully responsible for store operations in the absence of the GM.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure exceptional service is consistently provided to all Little General & Maverick customers.
  • Foster a passion for the Little General & Maverick offerings and culture among team members.
  • Serve as a role model for the core values and culture of Little General & Maverick.
  • Train, mentor, and inspire team members to exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide daily coaching to staff on their roles in delivering the Little General & Maverick culture and values.
  • Oversee that all products are produced, displayed, and maintained according to company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory levels, product freshness, and rotation standards.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior image standards of Little General & Maverick.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to personal and team development.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to visually verify identification and process transactions.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., carrying cases of milk).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a convenience store or food service setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
