Position Overview

The Appeals Division plays a crucial role in the operational framework of the organization. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities that are essential for the smooth functioning of administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Evaluating current and proposed office protocols to ensure alignment with established policies, enhancing clarity, and eliminating redundancies.
  • Understanding the perspectives of Area Directors on various operational challenges that do not necessitate in-depth technical knowledge of Appeals matters.
  • Identifying and analyzing trends impacting administrative functions, proposing innovative solutions to address existing or potential issues.
  • Supporting operational assessments and special initiatives directed by the leadership team.
  • Collecting and synthesizing information and statistics; conducting research on diverse topics; compiling data and preparing necessary documentation for reports and correspondence.
  • Creating and managing systems for organizing files, both electronic and paper, ensuring efficient access and maintenance of records.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive files and preparing highly confidential documents as required.
  • Generating regular and ad hoc reports using established formats and relevant data sources.
Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Specialized Experience: A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the federal service, involving administrative support tasks such as information analysis, correspondence preparation, calendar management, and meeting documentation.
  • Typing Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute, verified through a standardized test.
Education Requirements

Applicants must provide proof of educational qualifications, with degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
