Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join our team. As a Commercial Lines Producer, you will be responsible for identifying and targeting potential clients within the commercial sector, building relationships with business owners and executives, and developing comprehensive insurance solutions that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' businesses to understand their insurance requirements and risk exposures.
  • Analyze risks associated with clients' operations, assets, and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and risk management teams to develop tailored insurance proposals.
  • Design and present insurance solutions that address clients' specific needs and risk exposures.
  • Explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients.
  • Provide expert advice on coverage options, policy limits, and deductibles.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to secure the most advantageous coverage for clients.
  • Compare and analyze multiple insurance options to make informed recommendations.
  • Prepare accurate and complete insurance applications, proposals, and contracts.
  • Maintain proper records of client interactions, policies, and endorsements.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Provide ongoing support, address client inquiries, and manage policy changes.
  • Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure coverage remains aligned with clients' evolving needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and changes in regulations that could impact clients' insurance needs.
  • Monitor competitors' offerings and pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.

Requirements

  • P&C License
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field (preferred)
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter - CPCU, Certified Insurance Counselor - CIC) are a plus
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales in the insurance industry
  • Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office suite
