Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Director of Research and Development

Job Summary:

The National Medical Association is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Deputy Director of Research and Development. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of medical research and development at our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of research and development, including program planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement the organization's research and development strategy.
  • Manage and oversee a team of researchers and developers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in medical research and development, and apply this knowledge to inform and improve our research and development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field, such as medicine, biology, or chemistry.
  • At least 10 years of experience in research and development, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful research and development strategies, and to manage and oversee complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
