We are currently seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for Medical Devices to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Work Environment:

This role is a remote position. Candidates will engage in daily remote work, accessing customer systems through approved communication channels. While travel is not mandatory, occasional onsite client meetings may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document the data architecture of existing systems.
  • Create high-level architecture diagrams to address cloud data storage requirements.
  • Outline data cleaning protocols necessary for effective analysis of medical device data.
  • Assess database structural needs by evaluating client systems.
  • Establish and maintain Data Integration Architecture to manage data flows efficiently.
  • Generate supporting documentation, including data flow diagrams and gap analyses, while defining and maintaining data models.
  • Develop mock-up reports and dashboards to fulfill customer analytics requirements.
  • Adhere to contemporary best practices in Cloud data architecture and data engineering.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and enhance data access, querying, reporting, and analysis strategies.
  • Guide teams in optimizing database performance by identifying and resolving issues in production and application development.

Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in medical devices, including legacy systems, communication protocols, and device vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in scientific computing and software development using languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Expertise in streaming data processing.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical information.
  • A passion for engaging with innovative thinkers and a commitment to continuous learning in the field.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirements.
