We are currently seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for Medical Technology to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Work Environment:

This role is a remote position. Candidates will engage with customer systems remotely using approved communication platforms. While travel is not mandatory, occasional onsite client meetings may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document existing data architecture frameworks.
  • Create high-level architectural diagrams to outline necessary cloud data storage solutions.
  • Identify data cleansing requirements for effective medical device data analysis.
  • Analyze client systems to determine database structural needs.
  • Define and uphold Data Integration Architecture to manage data flows efficiently.
  • Produce supporting artifacts, including data flow diagrams and gap analyses, while defining and maintaining data models.
  • Develop mock-up reports and dashboards to align analytics with customer requirements.
  • Adhere to contemporary best practices in Cloud data architecture and data engineering methodologies.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and enhance data access, querying, reporting, and analytical strategies.
  • Guide teams in maintaining database performance by identifying and resolving issues in production and application development.

Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in medical devices, including knowledge of legacy devices, operating systems, communication protocols, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in scientific computing and software development using languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Expertise in streaming data processing.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical information.
  • A passion for engaging with innovative thinkers and a commitment to continuous learning in the field.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Public Trust clearance.
  • Previous successful experience in a remote work environment.
  • Relevant technical certifications.
