Your Role:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in conducting forensic investigations related to electrical incidents and failures. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to identify the origins and root causes of various issues, including accidents, fires, and equipment malfunctions. Your insights will be crucial in assisting clients with informed decision-making and navigating complex legal and insurance challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate electrical failures, defects, or damages across industrial, commercial, and residential environments.
  • Analyze electrical system failures and evaluate design, construction quality, or maintenance practices.
  • Lead field investigations and document property damage for multi-party assessments.
  • Collaborate on large-scale projects within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Research failure modes and provide recommendations for repairs or remediation.
  • Prepare detailed reports and correspondence outlining the causes of damage for clients.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and engage in networking opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • An active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in your state or be on track to obtain one.
  • A minimum of [X] years of experience in the electrical engineering sector.
  • A willingness to travel to client sites (25-30%) and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with forensic investigation practices.
  • Five years of experience evaluating electrical failures in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of power systems, including generators, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Experience working with legal professionals, insurance companies, and adjusters.
