Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and provide training for engineering personnel as necessary.
  • Supervise and coordinate the workflow and schedules of team members.

  • Review and validate mechanical, electrical, and control designs as required.
  • Build and maintain industry relationships, anticipating client needs and offering engineering solutions.
  • Establish departmental efficiency objectives to minimize costs and boost productivity.
  • Represent the organization at various industry events.
  • Coordinate efforts across departments, manufacturers, contractors, and clients to develop superior products and address challenges.
  • Assist in the design and enhancement of equipment and systems, as well as the redesign of existing systems to support engineering efforts.
  • Travel as needed to engage with clients or suppliers for technical assessments.
  • Devise innovative solutions to improve or resolve operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with other management to set and evaluate priorities across teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the design, development, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, industrial, controls, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial refrigeration or compressed gas compressor sectors.
  • At least five years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with ERP systems, preferably with Epicor.
  • Proficient in Allen Bradley Programming Software (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
  • Knowledgeable in AUTOCAD for mechanical and electrical applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for budget preparation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
