About This Position:

Wells Fargo is in search of a Lead Audit Strategist who will spearhead the audit initiatives related to the management of Consumer and Commercial credit risk. This role will report directly to an Audit Director and will be responsible for crafting and implementing a detailed multi-year audit strategy for their designated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of audit professionals tasked with a specific segment of the Audit Plan.
  • Manage resources effectively and support the broader team in fulfilling the overall audit objectives.
  • Evaluate associated risks and controls, completing audits within their designated segment.
  • Organize and plan work on an annual basis, beyond just project cycles.
  • Ensure that audit engagements are risk-focused and conducted in accordance with Internal Audit standards and guidelines.
  • Foster and maintain a skilled team of auditors.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and monitor development plans for team members.
  • Establish and nurture strong business relationships with leadership and key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
  • Allocate personnel and financial resources efficiently to meet commitments and align with strategic audit objectives.
  • Promote a culture of talent development to achieve business goals and strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Audit or Risk management, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with credit risk management, including Consumer Credit, Commercial Credit, and Current Expected Credit Losses.
  • Experience in a large financial institution or accounting firm.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CISA, CIA, or CPA.
  • Strong grasp of the financial regulatory landscape.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools.

Job Expectations:

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Hybrid work arrangement available.

Compensation:

$144,000 - $300,000.00
