Position Overview:

The Lead Architectural Strategist is pivotal in guiding and collaborating with clients and teams throughout all stages of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Broaden the client portfolio by pursuing targets established in partnership with Practice Studio Leaders.
  • Serve as a representative for JLG within the community, enhancing JLG's reputation as the preferred firm for client engagements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view to ensure client project goals are met and expectations are surpassed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide and mentor team members, providing support as needed throughout the process.
  • Ensure adherence to JLG processes for the enhancement of project outcomes and proper closure of each phase.
  • Stay engaged with clients as the primary sponsor while the Project Architect/Manager serves as the main contact.
  • Uphold JLG's status as the preferred firm, exceed client expectations, and secure endorsements for future projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution, current architectural licensure, NCARB record, and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience post-licensure.

Demonstrated success in project management and leadership for projects with construction budgets exceeding $30M, achieving project goals, budgets, and timelines.

A minimum of 5 consecutive years of experience in a studio environment.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of building client trust, managing challenging discussions, and exhibiting confidence in public speaking and presentations.

A highly self-driven problem-solver with proven leadership abilities to mentor, empower, and develop staff.

Evidence of community engagement with the capability to enhance brand visibility and cultivate relationships to secure work.

A solid understanding of architectural business and construction processes to effectively budget, plan, and deliver throughout project phases.

Advanced knowledge of building codes, architectural science, and JLG standards and processes.
