Job Overview
The County of Chester is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant - Assessment Department to join our team. This role involves providing support to the assessment department by performing various administrative tasks and assisting with special projects.
About the Position
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and providing general assistance to the assessment department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including property assessments and tax information
- Prepare reports and presentations as needed
- Assist with special projects, such as budgeting and forecasting
- Provide general assistance to the assessment department, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of general office experience; experience in assessment or accounting a plus
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. The County of Chester also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plan.
