Position Summary:


As a Construction Project Coordinator at Flatiron Construction Corp, you will engage in activities related to the gathering of financial data essential for overseeing project budgets and forecasts.

This role necessitates the application of resource management and oversight principles, methodologies, and technical expertise in construction initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with engineering teams and field personnel to assess production timelines and ensure that all materials, tools, and resources are available for uninterrupted workflow within budgetary constraints.


Examine all technical drawings, design criteria, material specifications, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.

Provide technical insights for project planning and scheduling, identifying potential risks related to production, materials, equipment, or processes that could adversely affect budget or timelines.


Monitor daily production, schedules, and budget forecasts to accurately evaluate project performance. Document daily operations using company-approved methods and technologies.


Update project timelines weekly for reporting to stakeholders and management. Participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders, presenting project production updates as necessary.


Execute additional tasks as directed by management.


Develop and oversee a three-week work plan, alerting engineering and project management of any significant changes in schedule and formulating strategies to mitigate delays and costs.


Initiate and manage all Requests for Information (RFIs) as required by the project.


Accurately report project quantities using designated cost coding to ensure precise financial reporting. Collaborate with the accounting team regarding invoicing for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.


Assist the engineering team with quality assurance as necessary. Review necessary certifications and permits required for project execution. Participate in all site inspections with leadership or external stakeholders.


Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all construction personnel. Attend weekly safety meetings with field teams and project leadership, presenting field assessments as needed.


Support the estimating team with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost parameters by providing necessary technical input.


Contribute to the development of design documents and provide technical insights as required.


Coordinate subcontractor work methodologies, schedules, and teams as necessary.


Finalize job close-out checklists with owner representatives and field teams at project completion.


Maintain an understanding of company values and strategic objectives.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.

5+ years of experience in construction engineering is required.

Experience with resource management techniques (e.g., cost accounting, basic estimating) and construction technology, process systems, and/or structures is preferred.

Specialized knowledge of design-build or alternative construction methods is advantageous.

Ability to set clear expectations for team members regarding roles and responsibilities.

Capable of delegating and assigning tasks to the engineering team to advance project production.

Able to manage multiple engineering tasks and align them towards a unified objective.

Advanced understanding of contract specifications and quality assurance practices.

Ability to identify budgetary and project costs and suggest options to alleviate project delays.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Familiarity with design-build and alternative construction methods.

Knowledge of financial reporting techniques, quantity tracking methods, and cost coding.

Understanding of construction scheduling and production time management is preferred.

Ability to take responsibility and communicate effectively with others.

Valid driver's license is required.
