Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to oversee project management in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with General Contractors, Project Owners, Subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Act as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction to project completion.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to team members, ensuring clarity and understanding of project objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Field Operations and Preconstruction teams, engaging actively in the execution of project plans.
  • Review construction documents for discrepancies and generate Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
  • Conduct detailed estimates of revised construction documents, providing clear inclusions and exclusions.
  • Interpret specifications to ascertain project requirements and address any inconsistencies with contract documents.
  • Draft subcontracts while managing buyouts from estimates, ensuring terms limit company risk and clarify project scope.
  • Collaborate with Contracts to analyze contract language, confirming scope inclusions and exclusions align with proposals.
  • Identify long lead items early and ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
  • Establish project budgets with support from Estimating, tracking actual costs in labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Monitor labor tracking strategies and set up appropriate labor codes.
  • Gather and verify hours from project supervisors and the team.
  • Oversee the overall procurement and construction schedule, addressing potential impacts proactively.
  • Collect field team feedback to ensure accurate reporting for Cost to Complete (CTC) projections.
  • Prepare monthly cost projections for each project, staying engaged with labor tracking and weekly schedules.
  • Ensure timely management of project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and potential claims.
  • Maximize cash flow by balancing project costs with income timing, facilitating buyouts, and understanding labor and material trends.
  • Support subcontractors with billing and change order negotiations.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to achieve their objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a combination of technical training and experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction process from design to close-out, including bid analysis and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and address issues promptly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanGrid, and ProCore.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
