Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is on the lookout for a skilled and adaptable civil engineer with a strong background in the design and construction of water conveyance systems. This role offers a chance to work on significant projects that contribute to the well-being of communities.

As a vital member of our team, you will take the lead on local and regional projects, ensuring the successful delivery of essential services across various sectors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on water conveyance initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments to support the planning and design of sewer systems and water distribution networks.
  • Act as the Engineer-of-Record, overseeing the creation and submission of project specifications and engineering documents.
  • Manage client relationships and foster new connections, contributing to project scoping and cost estimation.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and project staff, ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Evaluate and recommend civil and mechanical systems for projects, including material and equipment selection.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Engage in value engineering and project feasibility assessments.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and requirements are met.
  • Participate in professional organizations and contribute to technical publications and presentations.

Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of water conveyance design principles, including:

  • Experience in sewer collection design and water distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with trenchless construction techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software.

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
