Farnsworth Group is looking for a Lead Civil Engineering Specialist in our Ft. Collins, CO office. This is a distinctive and exciting opportunity for a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our expanding Team.

Qualified candidates will be tasked with delivering cost-effective, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing developments for our private owners/developers and municipal clients.


Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and oversee a variety of civil engineering land development and municipal projects driven by private owners/developers

Collaborate with other disciplines within Farnsworth Group

Engage with clients regarding ongoing and future projects

Organize and execute projects from inception through entitlements and construction completion

Facilitate client stakeholder meetings

Delegate design responsibilities to junior engineers and designers

Mentor and guide student-interns and entry-level engineers

Prepare project proposals, budgets, and timelines

Participate in city planning & zoning meetings and city council sessions

Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

6 - 12 years of experience in civil engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) License in Colorado

Experience with private owner/developer projects and municipal projects

Ability to effectively manage client relationships and design teams

Strong coordination skills with multi-discipline teams

Excellent team player capable of managing projects and multitasking design work

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required

Experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater modeling is a plus

Strong communication abilities

Salary Range:
$85,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
