Position Overview:

HDR is looking for motivated individuals to join our team with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, and a passion for civil infrastructure projects. This role focuses on the design of pipelines and pump stations for water and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will play a vital role in the design of civil water and wastewater projects for various municipalities. Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the design of water distribution and sewer collection systems.
  • Creating construction drawings for water and wastewater enhancements in collaboration with CAD professionals using AutoCAD software.
  • Developing technical specifications in line with HDR's master specifications and client requirements.
  • Preparing design reports, including mapping and calculations to document the design process and secure necessary approvals.
  • Engaging in construction phase activities such as administration, observation, and supporting engineering tasks.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • A strong foundation in water-related civil engineering, including the ability to produce construction drawings and technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Expertise in the design of water distribution and wastewater pipelines, system hydraulics, lift stations, and pump stations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and water/wastewater pipeline design and construction documentation.
  • Experience in office engineering services, including submittal reviews, responding to RFIs, and managing work change directives.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience in evaluating sewer pipeline conditions using CCTV and field testing data.
  • Familiarity with Civil3D for site grading and pipeline plan development.
  • Experience with ArcGIS for system mapping and data analysis.
  • A desire to engage in business development activities.
