We are seeking a skilled civil engineer with comprehensive experience in the design and construction of sewer systems, water distribution networks, and transmission mains. This role will allow you to take the lead on local and regional projects, ensuring successful client delivery across various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams on water conveyance initiatives throughout the region.
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments to support the planning and design of sewer and water systems.
  • Act as Engineer-of-Record, overseeing the creation and delivery of project specifications and engineering documents.
  • Manage existing client relationships while fostering new connections, contributing to project scoping and cost estimation.
  • Supervise engineering teams, establishing priorities and ensuring project milestones are met in coordination with Project Managers.
  • Evaluate and specify engineering systems for projects, including material and equipment selection.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to enhance project outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and regulatory agencies, ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Engage in professional organizations relevant to your expertise, contributing to technical publications and presentations.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and design strategies while supporting business development efforts.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of conveyance design principles, including planning, design, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in sewer collection and water distribution design, with experience in various pipe materials.
  • Familiarity with pipeline rehabilitation techniques and trenchless construction methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in diverse team settings.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, such as AutoCAD Civil3D and WaterCAD.
Education and Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in water and wastewater design projects.
