Position Overview

Your Role

In this position, you will work autonomously on smaller projects while collaborating on larger initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and selecting engineering systems and products for various projects.
  • Conducting complex calculations and fieldwork, as well as coordinating tasks and team members.
  • Analyzing project proposals to ensure they meet standards for structural integrity, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects of moderate complexity.
  • Act as the Engineer-of-Record for assigned projects.
  • Execute advanced engineering design tasks under the guidance of senior project leads.
  • Prepare and revise documentation for various civil engineering phases, including site plans and utility profiles.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in client meetings to discuss project requirements and conduct value analysis.
  • Oversee the permitting process, which may involve interactions with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Support senior engineers in managing project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of project specifications and construction documents.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control for your projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of civil engineering principles, including stormwater management, road design, and erosion control.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil3D and other modeling tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with a Professional Engineer license and a minimum of six years of relevant experience.


This role may involve both office and fieldwork, requiring adaptability to various working conditions.
