Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the federal contracting market.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and vendors.
- Lead sales, marketing, customer-service, and client relationship management teams.
- Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships to drive lead generation and market share.
- Track emerging markets and trends, and provide business development training to company employees.
- Propose and develop strategic partnerships to drive growth.
- Help shape the company's long-term objectives and determine plans to meet them.
- Research and identify new markets, and maintain the company's business development pipeline.
- Identify conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship opportunities, and build relationships with vendors.
- Conduct webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.
- Travel to vendor locations, distribution centers, and other locations as required.
- Help direct the development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 5-10 years' sales or marketing experience.
- 3-5 years' supervisory or management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to the federal contracting sector.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Relationship management.
- Leadership, management, and mentoring skills.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Knowledge of federal market and IT sector.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Familiarity with technology and software development.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Lead generation and management experience.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
- All candidates will be subject to a complete background check.
- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and require fingerprinting.
Salary: $100,000 - $180,000 annually.
