Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to enhance our dedicated team at Lonestar Managing General Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and determine the appropriate course of action for each assigned file, leveraging your technical expertise to support the resolution of claims.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations and maintain accurate documentation for each claim, including coverage, liability status, and applicable damages.
  • Process bodily injury and coverage claims in alignment with established office protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with third parties, legal representatives, and the Claims Director to facilitate necessary investigations.
  • Research relevant case law and statutory regulations to ensure thorough claim evaluations.
  • Document policy details, coverage, liability, and damages for all claims, and inform re-insurers on qualifying cases.
  • Prepare and present evaluations for claims requiring settlement authority.
  • Manage expenses effectively while handling additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Auto Bodily Injury or Casualty claims is essential.
  • Texas Adjuster License - All Lines is required; multi-state licensing is preferred.
  • Experience in non-standard insurance is advantageous.
  • Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with legal and medical terminology is necessary.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are vital.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with a focus on building positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Experience in an automated claims processing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention practices is beneficial.
  • General understanding of policies, procedures, and state regulations is required.
  • Ability to pass written examinations mandated by state statutes to obtain a Claims Adjuster license.
