Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and determine the appropriate course of action for each assigned claim, utilizing your expertise to support the resolution process.
- Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of all claim activities, including coverage liability, status, and applicable damages.
- Make informed decisions to accept, decline, or negotiate liability claims based on comprehensive coverage and policy investigations.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to gather evidence and establish facts regarding assigned claims.
- Effectively organize and prioritize work to ensure timely resolution of claims.
- Prepare and present evaluations for claims to the appropriate settlement authority.
- Inform the Underwriting Department of any significant findings during investigations.
- Maintain awareness of unfair claim practices relevant to our operations.
- Engage with vendors professionally while managing expenses and upholding our reputation for quality service.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in auto liability or property damage claims is essential.
- Experience in non-standard insurance is advantageous.
- Texas Licensed Adjuster - All Lines is required; multi-state licensing is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication, with the ability to foster positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Experience in an automated claims processing environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with policies, procedures, and state regulations is necessary.
- Ability to pass any required written examinations to obtain a Claims Adjuster license.
- Being bilingual is an advantage.
