The Sales Consultant is a key member of the Livewire For Business Team, responsible for securing new business and managing relationships with both new and existing clients. This role requires meeting/exceeding sales quotas and goals, maintaining a continuous prospecting system through networking and outbound activities, and possessing the ability to maintain a current knowledge of all Livewire products, services, and marketing/sales skills.
Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Plan, organize, and implement sales/marketing programs to expand the customer base in the commercial market.
- Client Acquisition and Retention: Secure and maintain new and existing clients to increase market share and produce a maximum amount of profitable new account sales with long-term recurring revenue contracts.
- Account Management: Manage or oversee management of client/customer accounts, generating client proposals, presentations, and engineering documents as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with Livewire's Design & Engineering department to update client proposals, presentations, and design documents, and meet with customers at each stage of the sales process to close the sale, answer questions, and provide follow-up instruction and technical assistance.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections as needed of all work in progress after rough-in and trim-out for quality control purposes.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant developments in the field that are applicable to Livewire.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize all available resources (referrals, leads, cold calls, networking, etc.) and maintain an on-going prospecting activity and system to identify and contact new prospects for expanding the prospect base within the assigned territory.
- Professional Development: Join and/or maintain membership in 1+ trade associations, utilize and update the Livewire contact relationship management (CRM) tools, and maintain professional and technical knowledge by utilizing available training resources.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete and submit weekly progress reports of contacts made, work progress status, mileage reimbursement, etc. as required.
- Education: 4-year business degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: Preferred 1-3 years of experience in outside sales with emphasis on new account acquisition and business development.
- Personal Qualities: Willingness to work hard, demonstrate perseverance, determination, and self-discipline.
- Skills: Excellent communication and facilitation skills, self-motivated, task-driven, excellent problem-solving skills, good client management and goodwill/relationship building ability, effective time management and logical decision-making ability, capacity to handle pressure, strong focus on quality, ability to pass a background check, and ability to obtain DCJS License.
