Position Overview:

Our client, a distinguished AmLaw law firm, is on the lookout for a skilled Patent Administrator to become part of their intellectual property division. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in U.S. patent filing processes and the capability to autonomously manage patent portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage patent prosecution workflows, including the preparation and submission of documents to the USPTO.
  • Engage directly with clients and attorneys, delivering outstanding service and support throughout the patent lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update patent dockets, ensuring adherence to all deadlines and regulations.
  • Draft and review patent-related communications, including emails, memos, and official documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) and other intricate filings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery.
  • Maintain precise electronic and physical patent records.
  • Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in U.S. patent filing and portfolio management.
  • In-depth knowledge of USPTO guidelines and procedures.
  • Proficiency in PTO platforms (e.g., EFS, PAIR, EPAS) and docketing systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with international patent filing processes.
  • Understanding of patent regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
