Job Summary

Taco Ranch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fast-casual taco restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Oversee the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Staff Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage food supplies, kitchen equipment, and cleaning materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure food meets our high standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses, to ensure profitability.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop kitchen staff on new menu items, cooking techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the restaurant management team, kitchen staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in a fast-casual or casual dining environment.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong inventory management and cost control skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
