Role Overview:


The Facilities Operations Supervisor (FOS) will work closely with the Facilities Manager (FM) to efficiently oversee and manage maintenance operations across the property.

This leadership position will be responsible for supervising the maintenance and overall condition of guest accommodations, public spaces, dining facilities, recreational areas, and hotel grounds.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:


The FOS will typically work 8 to 10+ hours per shift, 5 or 6+ days a week, depending on occupancy levels and staffing needs.

Peak demand periods, including holidays and weekends, require all team members to collaborate effectively to ensure smooth operations.


In your role, you will:

Assist the Facilities Manager in minimizing breakdowns, optimizing maintenance costs, and achieving maintenance objectives as outlined in property and maintenance manuals.

Oversee daily operations of the maintenance technical team, ensuring all areas including guest rooms, buildings, recreational facilities, and grounds are well-maintained.

Ensure completion of all assigned work orders as tracked through the property management system.

Promote safe and efficient use of tools and equipment; report any incidents or unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to repairs.
Respond promptly to guest-related issues or maintenance requests, troubleshooting and repairing to prevent recurrence.
Adhere to safety protocols and actively participate in safety training, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Achieve approved preventative maintenance targets for each period.
Maintain chemicals, equipment, and areas to meet company standards as assigned.
Communicate effectively with management regarding projects, inventory, emergency maintenance issues, and guest impact items.
Collaborate with local health and safety agencies to ensure compliance.

Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property.

Ensure compliance with safety certifications and protocols related to biohazard handling.
Possess knowledge of and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform various tasks related to projects and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or General Manager.
Management reserves the right to modify these duties as necessary.

Team Collaboration:
Foster open communication with team members by providing regular feedback and guidance when necessary.

Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to address issues and coordinate tasks for efficient operations.

Train and oversee maintenance team members to ensure compliance with waterpark and pool maintenance standards.

Review maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and delegate assignments based on urgency and resource availability.

Contribute to a positive team environment.
Engage with team members and guests in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
No team member should pose a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience is required.
At least 1 year of direct supervision of a team of 4+ members in a relevant field is required.
Technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields is preferred.
HVAC and CPO certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Proven experience in hotel engineering, facility maintenance, or a related role.
Hospitality experience in the Hotel/Condo/Residential Industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
A valid driver's license and eligibility for company insurance are required.

Physical Requirements:


Specific vision abilities required for this position include peripheral, distance, close, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
