  • Participate in the NEON science community, representing the Observatory at conferences and working groups.
  • Support the planning and tracking of science code development tasks.
  • Engage in team coordination meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Review and quality flag data products, developing documentation for end users.
  • Submit data to relevant platforms for co-hosting and respond to inquiries from data users.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and proposals.
  • Assist Field Science staff in achieving data quality targets.

**Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills**

  • Bachelor's degree in atmospheric science, ecology, environmental science, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience, or a master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience with flux tower instrumentation and eddy covariance data analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming with R and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with open science and reproducible workflows, including code sharing on platforms like GitHub.
  • Strong attention to detail and a self-directed work style.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for fieldwork and conferences.
