Position Overview

Senior Research Associate
Mosaic Biosciences is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Research Associate to enhance our innovative Cell-Based Assay Team. This role is essential in supporting various drug-discovery initiatives through collaboration with internal and external scientific teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capability to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments while managing daily laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and preserve mammalian cell lines utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Conduct assays following established protocols for flow cytometry, FACS cell sorting, ELISAs, qPCR, and the creation of stable cell lines, along with other intricate plate-based assays.
  • Formulate and evaluate experimental strategies with minimal oversight.
  • Communicate findings to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to the formulation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify and implement enhancements for laboratory processes and execution.
  • Meticulously analyze data and accurately document all experimental details in an electronic lab notebook.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with 4-6 years of relevant industry experience.
  • In-depth understanding of fundamental scientific and technical principles pertinent to cell biology and cellular assays, with the ability to adapt this knowledge across various research domains.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with team members.
  • Proficient in conveying scientific information in both written and verbal formats.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with flow cytometry and ELISAs is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Benchling, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism is a plus.

This is a full-time opportunity with a focus on in-person laboratory work.
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $93,000
