Senior Science and Policy Advisor, Office of the Commissioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Science and Policy Advisor to join our team in the Office of the Commissioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our public health agenda through scholarship and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze policy, programmatic, and scientific public health topics to inform policy development and recommendations to the Commissioner.
- Monitor public health policy trends, opportunities, and innovative initiatives to support the generation of new policy, regulatory, and legislative initiatives.
- Review and assess scientific literature, manuscripts, and clinical studies to provide assessments on their validity and reliability.
- Oversee the agency's scientific publication review and clearance system to ensure the quality and alignment of publications with Department strategies and goals.
- Collaborate with Agency leaders to develop, review, and evaluate public health policies, and work with partners to design and implement complex public health projects.
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, or environmental science or in public health.
- At least two years of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative, or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization.
