Overnight Residential Care Specialist at North Suffolk Community Services

North Suffolk Community Services is looking for dedicated Overnight Residential Care Specialists to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during overnight hours in a residential environment. In this role, you will provide support to individuals based on their specific needs while following established agency guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay alert and accessible to clients throughout the overnight shift
  • Conduct regular security checks and maintain accurate records
  • Perform necessary household upkeep tasks
  • Document clients' progress meticulously
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and report incidents as needed
  • Assist with the administration of medications

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
  • Experience:
    • At least six months of experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges or substance use issues
  • Skills:
    • Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred
    • Willingness to obtain MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of hire
