As a Lead Residential Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering essential assistance to individuals residing in a supportive environment. Your primary objective will be to aid them in mastering daily living skills, providing transportation, fostering skill development, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with individuals to boost their health and wellness, assist in setting and achieving personal goals, and empower them to live independently.
  • Support individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in identifying their aspirations and preferences to facilitate their recovery process.
  • Engage with community resources and families to guarantee that individuals receive the necessary services.
  • Keep comprehensive and confidential records documenting each individual's progress.
  • Administer medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Organize social and recreational activities for individuals, both individually and in group settings.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to support staff, assist in their training and development, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Assist in the creation and management of staff schedules to uphold safety and health standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED is required.
    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience working with individuals dealing with mental health or substance use issues is essential.
  • Skills:
    • A valid Driver's license is mandatory.
    • Ability to obtain MAP and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of employment.
