CONTRACT POSITION

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Practical experience in adherent or suspension mammalian cell culture
  • Familiarity with fundamental molecular and analytical methodologies, including PCR assays, plasmid preparation, and gel electrophoresis

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team focused on the production and analysis of AAV-based vectors utilizing transient transfection techniques in mammalian systems. The ideal applicant should possess significant expertise in mammalian cell culture and viral vector production, alongside a solid understanding of molecular biology tools, including plasmid construction and molecular assays for AAV characterization. Previous experience in AAV vector production is highly preferred. Furthermore, the candidate should stay informed about relevant literature and demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively share findings with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute production and analytical evaluation of AAV vectors through mammalian cell culture

· Design, refine, and troubleshoot methodologies for AAV production

· Maintain comprehensive and organized electronic documentation, ensuring timely submissions

· Communicate data to colleagues through written reports and collaborative discussions

Candidate Profile:

You have a background in viral vector production and cell culture techniques and are eager to broaden your expertise in AAV-based gene therapies. You are enthusiastic about acquiring innovative technical skills within a collaborative and cross-functional setting.

Required Expertise:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field with 1-3 years of industry experience

· Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, proficiency in aseptic techniques, and a proven ability to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot new protocols

· Knowledge of basic molecular and analytical techniques such as PCR assays, plasmid preparation, and gel electrophoresis

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members

· Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently, adapt to changes, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

· Practical experience in mammalian cell culture for the production of viral vectors or recombinant proteins.

· Previous exposure to bench-scale bioreactors utilizing mammalian platforms.
