JOB OVERVIEW

Doppler Bio is in search of a passionate and forward-thinking RNA scientist with a strong background in bioinformatics to become a key member of our foundational science team. Your contributions will be vital in the design and assessment of RNA sequences and structures, as well as in the analysis of gene expression data and the creation of bioinformatics workflows for multi-omics datasets. PRIMARY DUTIES


• Design and analyze RNA sequences customized to cellular transcriptomic profiles.


• Explore RNA structure-activity relationships and RNA-protein interactions, applying insights to create highly effective therapeutic RNAs.


• Develop and execute innovative cell-based assays to validate RNA constructs.


• Build and refine computational workflows to scrutinize publicly accessible datasets.


• Pioneer and apply new technologies and algorithms for the iterative optimization of RNA sequences through a design-build-test-learn methodology.


• Formulate and evaluate therapeutic hypotheses utilizing genomic data.


• Present research outcomes to both internal teams and external partners.

QUALIFICATIONS


• Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a related discipline.


• Comprehensive experience in RNA biology, including sequence and structural analysis.


• Proficient in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including NGS, gene expression, and genome engineering.


• Expertise in mammalian cell culture, including primary cells from various tissues, nucleic acid transfection, reporter assays, and cellular imaging.


• Capacity to innovate and implement new tools for the integrative analysis and visualization of complex genomic datasets.


• Proficient in bioinformatics applications and computational tools relevant to the discovery and development of therapeutic RNAs.


• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques is preferred.


• Skilled in Python, R, or other statistical programming languages.


• Experience with cloud computing and version control using GitHub.


• Strong communication abilities and a proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.


• Awareness of industry trends and innovations in precision genomic medicine.
