Position Overview

The Assistant Vice President will play a crucial role in supporting the Agency Servicing Team at MUFG Bank, focusing on risk mitigation within the department. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on Risk Indicators daily and serving as a subject matter expert for risk management initiatives. This position will report directly to the Vice President overseeing Risk and Control for the Agency function in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily Key Risk Indicators in the Agency Servicing area, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of incoming cash, General Ledger entries, Past Dues, Foreign Currency transactions, Suspense accounts, and more.
  • Assist the Vice President as the primary contact for SOX testing, audit requests, and issue escalation.
  • Collaborate with the VP & Director of Agency Servicing and internal Risk Partners on Open Issues and Action Plans to address control deficiencies.
  • Ensure the Servicing team effectively manages transactions to minimize operational risks and losses while adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the VP on initiatives related to technology enhancements, system upgrades, and resource allocation, ensuring comprehensive business requirements and testing.
  • Develop and implement necessary structural and procedural changes within the department, including the creation and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Administrative Agent role, with a focus on operations or risk management.
  • Thorough understanding of the Syndicated Loan Market, particularly the responsibilities of an Administrative Agent. Previous involvement with LSTA or working groups is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with market conventions for managing products across Syndicated & Commercial Lending Operations.
  • Ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders, including clients, syndications, front office teams, auditors, and regulators.
  • Knowledge of systems utilized in managing the Syndicated lending business, such as AFS, ACBS, Loan IQ, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, and Debt Domain.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
