Job Overview:

Position Summary:
The Financial Operations Analyst will engage in a dynamic role within the finance division of Techtronic Industries North America. This position will initiate within the Accounts Receivable sector, focusing on the management and oversight of client accounts.


The responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, evaluating outstanding receivables, processing and contesting customer deductions, and establishing accruals to maintain accounts in a timely and accurate manner.

Fostering client relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders across FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales, and Sales Operations is essential for success in this position.


The rotation through Accounts Receivable will provide a robust foundation for emerging finance professionals, offering insights into how this function influences the Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and contributes to the company's key performance indicators.


Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:
Conduct daily assessments of customer deductions, returns, and claims.

Types of claims include, but are not limited to, shortages, compliance penalties, annual rebates, trade fund agreements, and aligning deals with vendor contracts and pricing discrepancies.


Examine customer receivable balances to ensure prompt payment on invoices and address any issues the customer may encounter with billing and statements.


Resolve a high volume of deductions and claims daily through customer portals, email communications, and documenting the status of claims in Oracle's Trade Management system or requesting credit memos with necessary documentation.


Engage daily with both clients and internal teams such as Sales, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations.

Ability to effectively communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and, when applicable, recover deductions.

Participate in special projects on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Proven ability to process information swiftly and accurately with extensive data sets.

Proficient in Excel, with the capability to utilize advanced functions and calculations effectively.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Proactive with a strong desire for professional growth and success.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with problem-solving abilities.

Exhibits professionalism and can interact effectively with various levels of stakeholders.

Adheres to policies and procedures, demonstrating integrity and ethical behavior.

Maintains a positive attitude and performs well under pressure within a collaborative team environment.

A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably with a focus in business, though not mandatory.

Prior experience in accounts receivable utilizing ERP systems, customer portals, problem resolution, customer interaction, and information organization is essential.

Experience with Oracle is preferred.
