Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Kitchen Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in our establishment.

This position is essential for crafting a memorable dining experience that fosters guest loyalty through the precise and consistent preparation of dishes, adhering to recipes and menu specifications set by the Head Chef.

Additionally, this role involves ensuring that all plated dishes are visually appealing and reflect the high standards of quality and integrity expected in our kitchen.

The primary responsibilities of the Kitchen Operations Supervisor include food preparation and cooking within designated stations, maintaining cleanliness in prep areas, and ensuring that the kitchen is adequately stocked.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare a variety of food items according to the menu and recipes, including vegetables, poultry, meats, and seafood, utilizing various cooking methods and kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and grills.
  • Ensure proper plate presentation and portion control.
  • Maintain accurate temperature controls, food storage, and food rotation.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, cooking methods, standard portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Ensure that sufficient food products are stocked at line stations to facilitate smooth service.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking, adhering to specified standard portion sizes and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work station, including all equipment such as shelves, tables, refrigerators, fryers, ovens, and flat top ranges, in accordance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with food servers regarding ticket times and promptly attend to guest orders with a friendly demeanor.
  • Properly store, rotate, and manage all food products in compliance with local, state, federal, and company guidelines.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks during slower periods as needed.
  • Ensure the kitchen is properly closed by following the kitchen stations' closing checklist and assist others in closing duties.
  • Engage in employee meetings and contribute suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager on duty or the kitchen manager.
Skills and Abilities Required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and security protocols.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Familiarity with service standards and systems.
  • Clear criminal background check.
Education and Experience Required
  • Preferred 3-5 years of prior experience in a kitchen role within a full-service restaurant.
  • Serve Safe certification is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to safely lift and maneuver products weighing up to 20-25 lbs.

Physical Demands:
  • This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting at least 20-25 pounds, with continuous movement during working hours in a fast-paced environment.
