Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise food service operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of meals to residents, team members, and visitors.
  • Review menus and oversee the handling, preparation, and storage of food to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and kitchen sanitation to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
  • Assign work schedules and supervise staff to ensure that food service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assess and execute strategies to enhance the food product and respond to resident needs and preferences.
  • Recommend changes to menus and food products to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Control profit and loss elements and make decisions that impact the financial performance of food service operations.
  • Oversee divisional matters related to federal, state, and local employment and civil rights laws.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field, such as hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor in the food and beverage industry, preferably in senior living.
