About the Team:
Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is responsible for managing one of the largest cloud infrastructures in the world, supporting all Microsoft online products and services while driving the company's 'Cloud First' initiative.

CO+I is tasked with delivering infrastructure, security, compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. The emphasis is on strategic expansion, high efficiency, and ensuring a dependable experience for customers and partners globally.

Role Overview:
Within CO+I, the Datacenter Delivery (DCD) team is in charge of the secure construction, commissioning, and system integration of datacenter capacity for Microsoft's cloud operations. The portfolio is intricate, encompassing numerous large-scale datacenter projects worldwide.

Given the extensive scale of CO+I operations, analyzing performance and trends is vital. By identifying root causes and providing timely feedback to project teams, they can make informed decisions more swiftly.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Technical Program Strategist to drive performance metrics, benchmarking, and insights.

  • The role includes evaluating Construction Delivery Strategies to identify opportunities for enhancement, utilizing data, industry best practices, performance assessments, and personal construction expertise for constructive feedback.

Ensuring predictable delivery and exploring methods to accelerate time to market are central to this position. Microsoft's mission is to empower every individual and organization globally to achieve more.

Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct construction productivity studies to identify essential cost, schedule, safety, quality, and sustainability drivers for individual projects.
- Establish methods to measure, track, and improve performance.
- Strengthen the Construction Performance, Insights, and Benchmarking function to provide analytical feedback on all ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand workflows and collaborations critical for construction and lease project delivery.
- Engage with all Construction Regional teams to identify trends at both portfolio and project levels.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, Project Controls, Technical Program Management, or Engineering.
- Alternatively, equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Construction Project Management, Project Controls, and Delivery, or Datacenter delivery.
- 3+ years of experience supervising cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in conducting construction progress reviews.
- Familiarity with integrating Owner and Contractor reports.
- Proficiency in analytics and development of new analytical tools.
- Experience leading construction innovation and transformation.

Compensation:
The average base pay range for this role throughout the US is USD $133,600 - $256,800 annually. Distinct pay ranges apply to specific locations, with additional benefits and compensation available.
