Position Summary: The Project Manager (PM) is accountable for overseeing and coordinating custom commercial architectural millwork projects from post-contract administration through installation and warranty phases, ensuring financial, quality, and efficiency standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties of the Project Coordinator.
  • Review project drawings for accuracy against contract specifications and standard construction methods.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards and raw materials.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Engineering Team - to ensure clarity and accuracy of shop drawings.
    • Production Team - to meet quality and scheduling expectations.
    • Delivery Team - to coordinate timely deliveries.
    • Installation Team - to ensure field quality and scheduling are met.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets and billing projections.
  • Monitor project costs to stay within budget.
  • Engage subcontractors as necessary.
  • Draft Requests for Information (RFIs) to obtain essential project details.
  • Attend necessary meetings to clarify project scope.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational skills.
  • Evaluate risks related to production timelines and contractor schedules.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, interacting with both internal and external clients.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Possess a valid driving record for site visits as needed.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing training and constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in an architectural millwork setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Physical and Work Environment: The role requires occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment includes an office setting and exposure to machinery in a controlled environment.
