Position Overview:

The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by supporting the execution of engaging programs and activities. At MBK Senior Living, we prioritize the well-being of our residents and team members, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating planned activities and special events, including holiday decorations.
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback from residents to tailor activities to their interests.
  • Encourage resident participation in various programs.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to operate the community vehicle.
  • Create promotional materials such as flyers, calendars, and newsletters, and manage updates on social media platforms.
  • Support marketing initiatives and events.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to company standards.
  • Exhibit kindness and professionalism in interactions with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Wellness Programming or Executive Director.
  • Coordinate with volunteers, including scheduling and training for daily tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree or two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Must pass background checks as mandated by regulations.
  • Health requirements must be met, including TB testing.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in English are essential.
  • Experience in clerical tasks, including creating promotional materials and managing social media.
  • Strong reasoning and communication skills are necessary for effective feedback and interaction.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of regulations regarding residents' rights is required.
  • Must be capable of making independent decisions and remain composed in emergencies.
  • Professional and tactful interaction with residents, families, and the public is essential.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be mobile and able to navigate the community throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Requires repetitive hand motions and moderate physical effort.
  • Must assist in moving residents during emergencies.
