Position Summary:
The Revenue Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring precise accounting for the billing and cash processes across various revenue streams, including Direct Ad Sales and Affiliate sales for PayTV & Premium Channels. This role requires collaboration with teams across different regions to maintain compliance with US GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, post, and review journal entries for all revenue streams, including sales commissions and bad debt.
  • Oversee the Ad Sales Representations process, ensuring accurate accounting for commissions and monthly reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the management of revenue-related balances, including statutory accounts and corporate reporting.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations related to revenue.
  • Analyze and present variance analysis for P&L and Balance Sheet, providing insights into key drivers.
  • Record and reconcile agency incentives for timely settlements and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare monthly withholding tax documentation and analyze variances.
  • Review Ad Sales pacing information, ensuring accuracy in journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Deliver monthly closing analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior management.
  • Reconcile inter-company accounts with regional Ad Sales.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
  • Prepare subscriber and revenue trend analyses for reporting purposes.
  • Manage the Brazilian Ancine fund reconciliation and allocation to local productions.
  • Review and approve affiliate billing proposals.
  • Track marketing funds related to revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various departments.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests from revenue and accounting teams, as well as other internal departments.
  • Support the Senior Accounting Manager in finance projects aimed at improving processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • CPA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP applications (SAP ECC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese is advantageous.
