The Environmental Proposal Management Specialist is responsible for spearheading the proposal development process at Sundance Consultants, LLC. This role involves crafting persuasive proposals and effective marketing materials that resonate with clients while upholding the Sundance brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Environmental Proposal Management Specialist include:

Proposal Development

  • Engage in pre-positioning efforts, such as strategic planning, competitor analysis, and client mapping, collaborating with senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Document business development meetings, ensuring all action items are captured.
  • Lead diverse proposal efforts, from complex strategic pursuits to presentation preparations.
  • Organize pre-RFP meetings to strategize for upcoming solicitations.
  • Facilitate proposal development meetings, including Go/No-Go discussions and strategy sessions.
  • Oversee proposal meetings related to active solicitations.
  • Develop and refine Proposal Templates to ensure responses are client-focused and highlight Sundance's unique strengths.
  • Analyze RFQ/Ps and assess submission requirements for various contract types.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and technical staff to create impactful storyboards and graphics that convey strategic messages.
  • Guide technical staff in enhancing their narratives and presentations.
  • Coach team members on effective content development and presentation techniques.
  • Conduct client debriefs to integrate feedback into future submissions.
  • Build trust and work collaboratively with technical professionals across all levels.
  • Generate original content for proposals, including cover letters and executive summaries.
  • Lead color review meetings to gather constructive feedback and refine submissions.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with RFQ/P requirements and adhere to brand guidelines through thorough proofreading and editing.
  • Coordinate writing and graphic support to meet proposal deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain the Opportunity Pipeline to reflect the current status of pursuits.

Marketing Initiatives

  • Design and produce branding materials for both print and digital platforms.
  • Manage various marketing initiatives to enhance brand engagement and visibility.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to keep marketing strategies relevant.
  • Monitor opportunity sites for potential teaming and upselling opportunities.
  • Provide insights into the Opportunity Pipeline for new prospects.
  • Collaborate with IT to update and maintain the company website.
  • Develop and distribute the Sundance Marketing Style Guide.
  • Proofread and edit all branding materials to ensure quality.
  • Coordinate joint marketing efforts with partner firms.
  • Create high-quality capability statements and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Design compelling graphics and themes that effectively communicate strategic messages.
  • Manage the distribution of content across social media platforms, optimizing posts for each platform.
  • Oversee content production that drives traffic to the Sundance website.
  • Generate engaging LinkedIn posts to enhance brand presence.
  • Proofread and edit all media communications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in brand management, advertising, or marketing within the environmental sector.
  • Experience with federal agencies and understanding their proposal requirements.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in persuasive writing and presentation development.
  • Proven track record as a proposal manager, overseeing all aspects of proposal development.
  • Ability to produce high-quality materials under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications may include:

  • A passion for branding and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 Compliance.
  • Professional certifications such as APMP, Shipley, or PMP.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily office-based.

Physical Requirements

Extended periods spent in front of a computer screen are expected. Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment and post-employment drug and alcohol tests.
