Position Overview:

As a Beverage Sales Account Executive, your primary focus will be to develop and enhance off-premise account relationships in designated territories, ensuring the growth of supplier brands through strategic planning, effective sales techniques, and clear communication. Your efforts will contribute to meeting both company and supplier goals.

Compensation Overview:
$41,000 Base Salary + Commission & Incentives
$1,500 Sign-On Bonus
Mileage Reimbursement at 67 cents per Business Mile
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off including holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with accounts and efficiently manage daily routes by establishing a systematic routing pattern.

- Conduct thorough analysis of the account base by visiting each location, identifying opportunities, and ensuring compliance with national account standards where applicable.

- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that align company priorities with customer needs, including product placements, promotions, and educational initiatives.

- Maintain product availability in accounts by managing inventory and restocking shelves in accordance with legal guidelines.
- Provide training to account staff on priority brands through organized educational seminars.
- Oversee customer account receivables by processing credits and returns promptly, while maintaining communication regarding aged receivables.

- Address customer needs by delivering products in special circumstances, resolving issues, and escalating matters to management as necessary.

- Achieve sales and merchandising targets.

- Strategize and plan effectively to meet objectives by staying informed on company pricing and product programming, while maintaining accurate historical purchase data.

- Collaborate with management to monitor inventory levels, alerting them to potential fluctuations in demand.

- Meet performance standards by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management for supplier brands.

- Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by adhering to management standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials when appropriate.

- Collect payments from accounts where legally permissible, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
- Support the opening of new accounts by developing initial orders in partnership with the Field Sales Manager.
- Participate in supplier collaborations through sales calls and promotional events.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software, including presentation tools
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with proof of insurance required.

Physical Requirements:
- This role may require remaining stationary at times, as well as communicating and operating a computer and telephone.
- Regularly required to reach overhead, squat, and bend.
- Ability to carry and lift weights between 45-65 pounds.

Competencies:

- Selects the best course of action from established procedures using common sense and relevant experience.
