About the Role

The Capture Manager is a key position within Middle River Aerostructure Systems, responsible for leading the company's business development and capture activities across the aerospace and defense sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute capture strategies to secure new contracts and business opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the gated capture process, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Collaborate with internal and corporate stakeholders to secure support and resources
  • Develop and communicate innovative solutions to customers and stakeholders
  • Manage project risks and opportunities, and conduct after-action reviews to improve capture management processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Business Management discipline, with 5 years of experience in Business Development or Capture Management
  • Knowledge of Commercial and USG contracts, as well as related acquisition processes
  • Experience in competitive pricing strategies and associated cost proposals
  • Ability to support on-site and travel, with US Citizenship and ability to obtain USG Security Clearance
Desired Characteristics
  • Master's degree in STEM or Business Administration/Management
  • Exceptional critical thinking, leadership, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Domain expertise in Aerostructures and/or structural components of Airframes and Space Systems
  • Proven experience with leading pursuits/captures and/or business development programs, with a track record of success
  • Experience with DoD customers, and a strong aerospace industry professional network
