Position Overview

The Senior Credit Analyst role offers advanced analytical support in the evaluation and assessment of commercial credit facilities while collaborating with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to enhance client interactions. This position requires a seasoned professional to deliver credit analysis for designated lending relationships, alongside mentoring Client Specialists and junior Credit Analysts regarding lending policies and underwriting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and adeptly manages multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Core Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial statements and provide critical financial analysis to support the underwriting of intricate Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans.
  • Proactively manage workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks, including financial statement analysis, documentation updates, and compliance monitoring.
  • Engage in transaction structuring and strategic discussions with management and credit partners to substantiate analysis findings.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive credit approval documentation, ensuring accurate representation of loan terms, collateral, covenants, and credit exposure.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to oversee and manage assigned commercial loan portfolios, including covenant tracking and performance monitoring.
  • Participate in internal credit discussions with various stakeholders and represent the organization in external client meetings.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and additional assignments as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal performance metrics and team objectives, showcasing attention to detail and independence in achieving business goals.
  • Identify and communicate significant changes or trends in the financial health of borrowers or guarantors during credit presentation preparations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Banking, Credit Analysis, or Loan Review.
  • Prior experience as a Credit Analyst I or in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate credit products and financial data analysis processes.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and the commercial lending framework.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience in Salesforce or nCino being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents, perform calculations, and evaluate information effectively.
