    This position is a prominent individual contributor role, encompassing a diverse array of responsibilities to bolster the risk management of global wholesale credit portfolios. The ideal candidate will integrate into a highly effective analytical team and oversee all facets of the model development life cycle, engaging with Senior Risk, Finance, Model Validation, Business Managers, Internal Auditors, and Regulators.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct research, develop, and validate wholesale credit loss models utilized for regulatory stress testing and reserves calculation, including CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP/CECL and internal assessments.
    • Implement credit loss models using Python or other programming languages for model execution, testing, and analytical tools.
    • Provide support to business units, finance, risk managers, and banking supervisors during discussions related to stress testing.
    • Participate actively in the analysis and interpretation of results, integrating feedback into models and metrics as necessary.
    • Collaborate across all model development teams, including PD/LGD/EAD models, and CECL/IFRS9 models.
  • Qualifications:
    • A Master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.) is essential.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative financial modeling, with hands-on involvement in the research, development, and implementation of financial models.
    • In-depth knowledge of wholesale credit products and financial markets within a financial institution is preferred.
    • Familiarity with bank stress testing in wholesale credit portfolios, including experience in CCAR and other stress testing methodologies, PD/LGD/EAD modeling, or CECL/IFRS9 calculations is advantageous.
    • Proficient in statistical packages and regression models.
    • Strong programming capabilities in Python and a solid understanding of Linux environments.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
