Position Overview:

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and producing marketing and communication materials that enhance the company's reputation and promote its brand, with a focus on attracting and retaining talent.

This full-time position operates under both direct and indirect supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
*Implement and execute the corporate social media strategy to strengthen the company's image and brand across various communities, particularly in relation to talent acquisition and retention. *Conduct site visits to gather marketing content, including photos, videos, and insights for retention initiatives. *Create, prepare, and disseminate communications through multiple channels, including print, digital, social media, and video formats. *Collaborate with internal departments such as HR, sales, and safety to produce diverse materials, including brochures, presentations, and promotional items. *Contribute to the planning and execution of company events, providing necessary materials and attending as required. *Offer insights and content for the company website, ensuring alignment with organizational culture and objectives. *Maintain and update the content and design of the company’s online presence, including social media platforms, while monitoring feedback and responding as necessary. *Assist in the development of quarterly newsletters and communicate social media performance metrics to leadership. *Promote social media initiatives internally by educating staff on relevant technologies and campaigns.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards and industry editorial guidelines. Travel may be required.
  • Maintain and care for company equipment.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • May require occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends.

Required Knowledge:
*Familiarity with AP style and SEO practices preferred. *In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and marketing strategies. *Strong understanding of web technologies and their role in marketing. *Solid foundational knowledge in marketing principles.

Required Skills:
*Ability to create an impactful social media presence. *Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. *Capability to produce high-quality work with minimal revisions. *Proficient in analyzing data and metrics when necessary.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Qualifications include meticulous attention to detail and exceptional writing skills, with the ability to convey messages in engaging and relevant ways. Proficiency in using social media tools and desktop publishing software is essential.

Educational Background:
*Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:
*Minimum of two years of experience in social media and/or marketing. *Portfolio showcasing previous work is required. *Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

Physical Demands:
  • Constantly required to communicate verbally and listen effectively.
  • Regularly required to operate a telephone and engage in conversations.
  • Must have the ability to see and read computer screens and printed materials.
  • Frequently required to use hands for typing and filing.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to use basic office equipment such as computers and copiers. Frequent bending, stooping, and standing may be necessary.
  • Occasionally required to lift items weighing less than 25 pounds.
  • May be required to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Occasionally required to travel for meetings and events.
This position is considered safety-sensitive.
