Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Applications and Integration Architect to spearhead the design, development, and execution of our application and integration framework. In this senior leadership position, you will manage a team of solution architects who report directly to you. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of application and integration architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices, along with hands-on experience with diverse technologies such as APIs, ESB, microservices, and message queues.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and upkeep of our enterprise application and integration architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements and devise solutions that fulfill business objectives.
  • Design and implement integration solutions utilizing various technologies such as APIs, ESB, microservices, and message queues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive integration architecture diagrams for both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams and guide junior developers as necessary.
  • Engage with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize integration projects and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing new integration tools and techniques while recommending enhancements to existing integration processes and solutions.
  • Ensure effective connectivity and communication capabilities of technology assets, addressing business needs and facilitating timely and efficient delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 7 years in enterprise/solution architecture roles, emphasizing applications and integrations.
  • Strong grasp of digital business and technology trends.
  • Experience with application and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, microservices, ESB).
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms and capabilities (e.g., API management, data integration, cloud integration).
  • Understanding of integration patterns and best practices (e.g., EAI, SOA, microservices integration).
  • Knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

  • Certification in architecture or a related field (TOGAF, Azure Architect, AWS Certified Architect).
Physical Demands
  • Physical demands include significant time spent sitting and typing/keyboarding, utilizing a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device.
  • Physical demands may occasionally involve walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
